Acrophobia is the most common phobia in the UK

According to YouGov researchers, the most common fear in Britain is the fear of heights. Nearly 25% of the population claimed to be “very afraid”, while a further 35% are “a little bit afraid” of heights.

The medical term for it is acrophobia. Some people are scared being off the ground or going up in a tower, and for some, just looking up a tall building brings on an anxiety attack.

Unfortunately, this fear can interfere with the quality of your life if you are avoiding certain situations such as attending a business meeting in a tall building. You might experience stress over being allotted a hotel room on a high floor or walking the mountain trails with your friends and family.

Hypnotherapy can help you to lessen your fear of heights and getting the control back over your life.
