Fear of flying is common and affects many people to a certain degree. Some feel nervousness, others experience a full-blown phobia; some people do not travel by plane. Your fear can have adverse effects on the quality of your life.

Some people feel comfortable at the airport, but begin to experience symptoms just before boarding the plane. Others anticipating their worry and experience difficulty as soon as they arrive at the airport.

Hypnotherapy can be helpful to relieve the anxiety related to flying.

Please visit your GP before coming to therapy, because some physical conditions might cause to develop anxiety before flying. Your GP might be able to minimise risk and discomfort if you have the following physical conditions:

  • Cardiovascular disease or some other conditions increase the risk of blood clots, which might cause your concerns about developing thrombosis during a flight.
  • Sinus or middle-ear blockage can cause pain or dizziness during flight.
  • Having a cold, chronic sinus problems, or conditions such as vertigo or ear disorders can create a genuine fear of developing physical discomfort.
